How Should I Relate to Others?

How should I relate to others?
Ask God for guidance true,
I love the Lord with all my heart,
My soul and my mind too

His words are not yet reaching them,
My prayer is for a sign,
A route to being neighbourly,
So they will have a faith like mine

I know that Jesus prays for me,
His message I received,
And He wants them for company,
So they'll know and believe

The unbelievers, they don't know,
They're blind and cannot see,
But change is in the atmosphere,
God's words will make them free

By peace we keep the unity,
It bonds us, makes us whole,
And they will see the peace in me,
A faith that's in my soul

One Spirit, faith and baptism,
One Father over all,
The air we breath gives oxygen,
A unity to call

God came to me through loving me,
That's how I understand,
My love returns in kindness sent,
And smiles when shaking hands

Our mission is to heal the sick,
A message they've not heard,
The dead will rise and demons go,
We'll cleanse them with Your word

My Father came so mercifully,
Put me on grace's path,
So I should show some mercy to,
Those subject to His wrath

Compassion should be uppermost,
Together we forgive,
Christ took all sin away from me,
So kindly I will live

At times I find my weaknesses,
Shake me and make me worse,
Unclean lips try to ruin me,
With phrases I rehearse

Then I recall the mighty King,
And how he spoke and walked,
So I return to righteousness,
Unhearing faithless talk

Though I am working hard and fast,
I've yet to catch my fish,
Deep waters choke and frighten me,
Yet sin is not my wish

I cannot pass any judgments,
Keep God in all my thoughts,
They stand or fall by their own deeds,
When I am paid, they've bought

I am trying to be holy,
Want nothing for myself,
They have a need that is greater,
I've interest in their health

Yet no part of this is easy,
Discipleship's a test,
Sometimes sin tempts me to temper,
When calling gentleness

At times I'm without witnesses,
So rumour spreads around,
How can a fault be pointed out,
Without a judgment sound?

The church should be for listening,
Attention to the Word,
In pagan places gossiping,
Shows church folk haven't heard

No discipline appears pleasant,
It's painful to prevail,
Best tear the plaster with some speed,
Than let the harvest fail

Though insults may be poured my way,
Deaf ears are where they land,
Christ suffered and he made no threats,
Let His true judgment stand

When I have choices I can make,
I'll make them peaceful all,
My peace is what is tantamount,
Can't choose what others call.
