Death, Adam, Life and Christ
    (based on Romans 5: 1-12)
Sin was born when Adam chose,
He disobeyed and so arose,
Death through sin, a sad demise,
To all the same whom God despise
Then Moses made the righteous law,
Before this time there was no score,
Yet still death reigned without commands,
Even on those like the first man
The gift of Christ is without fall,
The grace He gave overrode all,
Whilst Adam's fault meant many died,
God's grace devoured the sinner's pride

The gift of grace is just that,
Not a prize which we work at,
You don't get more by working hard,
Redemption saves, but grace is all,
So trespass made sin multiply,
Condemned, the judged fell down from high,
But through one pure and selfless move,
Grace was bestowed to multitudes

This one true act by Jesus Christ,
Saved all from death, kept us alive,
As many fell at Satan's door,
His counter move made us reborn,
The law brought in meant sinning grew,
Trespass increased and so sin too,
But grace just blossomed all the more,
No sinners in the Lord's household
Grace for those who live their days,
In God's own rich and glorious haze,
Eternal life through Jesus Christ,
Was gifted those in paradise.
